Strip Tension Measurement, Rolling Mill Force Measurement, Process Regulation

Aim: a continuous measurement of strip tension during production and finishing processes; processing of the measuring signal and transmission to the production process.

Principle : strip tension is measured indirectly via the force applied on the roller bearings.

Solution : the strip tension measuring device, or tensionmeter, is composed of load cells to be installed by pairs at each end of a roller; the electronic unit processes the measuring signal.

Tensionmeters are available for vertical roll force measuring, horizontal roll force measuring or both vertical and horizontal roll force measuring.
